About Mona

Mona school was established in June 1986 in the Loving memory of beloved Mona. Mona was born on 10 September 1965. Mona had a warm and loving nature. She always wore a beautiful smile. She was a very intelligent, vivacious, active and brave girl. She loved to help the children and to serve the society. She was a teacher of a Moral class. She was one of the most popular girls in her school.

When she was fifteen, she was conducting children's classes herself. She made a special effort, to memorize the writings and prayers so she could be spiritually self-sufficient.When she was 17, she was executed in Shiraz Iran on 18 June 1983. Her crime was her steadfast belief in Baha'u'llah, the founder of Baha'i Faith.She sacrificed her life for the truth and welfare of humanity.

"I wish I had not only one but a thousand lives to give in the path of God" , were the words said by Mona Mahmudnizhad.
